GROUTING FINE CRACKS,
NEARLY TOO SMALL TO ACCEPT GROUT

AT 45 MINUTES
Plot at 45 minutes

The rate of take continues to decrease. The grout has filled most of the groutable cracks.

There is no need to change the mix. So we keep on grouting at a slow rate.

Now what should we do next? The choice is from one of the following:

  1. Let the simulation decide what to do next.
  2. Carry on grouting without change.
  3. Thicken the mix

Note that attempts to increase the amount of grout taken, by THINNING the mix would be counter-productive. There has already been much water injected with this thin 3:1 mix; even more would dilute the grout intolerably.
